About Haley
HI! I’m Haley and I’m glad that you’re here! One of my beliefs in business is that to truly support a company, you need to know who they are and what they stand for. In that spirit, I want to share my story with you!
I was born into a large hard-working family who lived the small-town country life. Born with 10 sets of grandparents still alive and kicking, 11 uncles and 4 aunts, I was the first of my generation and the oldest of a million cousins. I was thrown into a leadership role from a young age and was constantly looking for new things to get into. I was able to learn a wide variety of skills throughout my life, from farming and mechanical knowledge to business and makeup techniques. (Seriously, the serial number for a John Deer Combine oil filter lives rent free in my head…right next to quotes from the Sailor J Contouring 101 video.) I played sports, studied hard, was involved in 4-H and FFA, and went after every opportunity that came my way.
The one thing that I absolutely fell in love with was woodworking. One of my grandfathers (Papa Randy) was a carpenter and an electrician. He and my grandma moved closer to my home when I was 12 and I spent all of my summer breaks and free time out in the wood shop with him; learning new tools, skills, and building techniques. He and I built so many things: step stools, shelves, treasure boxes, builds for customers and gifts for others… all of which have stood the test of time and are good as new over 15 years later. I STILL use the step stool we built for me every day and it looks brand new.
When I graduated and became an ‘adult’ (I use that term loosely, we all remember how we were at 18. hahaha), I joined the Air Force*, moved across the country all alone, and started a life out in this big blue world. I am now a wife, mother of two, Aunt Leelee to many, sarcastic bestie, dog mom, crazy plant lady, gym enthusiast, among so many other titles. I am over halfway through my career in the military and am at the point in life where I am ready to actively pursue my truest passions: woodworking, creating, and building my family’s dreams.
I look forward to seeing where this journey takes all of us, what we create, and honing my abilities— with a whole lot of sawdust and a healthy dose of sarcasm. Thank you for joining this adventure in whatever capacity you choose: friend, family, customer, silent lurker… everyone is welcomed and appreciated!
Much Love,
Haley
Seriously, look at this thing. You wouldn’t think it was 15 years old.
